Skyloft Ski Resort Wedding|Family Ties

When we posted Joanne & Ben’s engagement photos, we said that one gets the sense it doesn’t really matter where they go or what they do, as long as they get to be together. Now we know where that comes from. This couple has been blessed with families filled with love; families who laugh together, play together, cry together and just plain like being together. Their wedding was one heart felt celebration. Here is a small window into their day…

There were many great moments on this special day, but one of my personal favourites was the moment the bride came down the stairs and her bridal party saw her for the first time. The response of her closest friends and family was pure, genuine, and priceless; they obviously adore Joanne.

The ceremony was held in a cute countryside church built in 1865. The bride took a moment of contemplation before her brother escorted her down the aisle. As she turned the corner, the groom was overcome with emotion at the sight of his beautiful bride.

After a touching ceremony, this couple tied the knot… literally!

As is often the case, we spent some time with the bridal party after the ceremony. This particular group was more than enthusiastic about stopping for photos at numerous random locations, including an old gas station…

… until we arrived at our final destination among the rolling hills at Skyloft Ski Resort, complete with beautiful views on this Fall day.

Push ups, you say? Sure, why not? There wasn’t time for them this morning!
