Toronto Wedding|Full Circle
He moved to Canada as a young boy; a few years earlier, she moved to Canada as a toddler. Little did they know that this young boy, playing Canadian street hockey with the neighbourhood kids and their guardians, was playing with someone who years later would turn out to be his future father-in-law. Talk about coming full circle.
Fast forward to 2015 and Maneesha & Nikolce’s winter wedding. When we think of winter weddings, we often have visions of a beautiful white blanket of snow and giant snowflakes falling gently to the ground. But, this is Toronto and on this day in January, we experienced temperatures of 25 degrees below zero with a bitterly cold wind. The only warmth felt here was the bride and groom’s love for each other. So much so, that they did not let the weather prevent them from meeting for first-look photos at the Humber Arboretum.
The Grand Empire Banquet Centre offered a beautiful ballroom for the ceremony and celebration as well as welcome relief from the cold.
It seems every bride and groom add their own personal touch to the ceremony. In this case it was the wine box, containing not only wine but also a place where the bride and groom lay down letters they had written to each other. Sealed with hammer and nail, the box, the wine, and the letters will be opened and read on their 5th wedding anniversary.
As evening drew near, the ballroom twinkled with candlelight and the bride and groom danced in each others’ arms, melting the cold wintery night away.
Our sincere Congratulations, Maneesha & Nikolce, as you begin your lives together.
